Field Service Technician – Biglow
This position will be located at the Biglow Wind Farm:

90501 Emigrant Springs Ln.
Wasco, OR 97065


The Field Service Technician will play a key role in ensuring quality, safety and customer service on site for the Siemens Wind Service organization. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to continually monitor and improve personal human performance, contribute to excellent service to our customers; they must possess a strong understanding of human behavior, ability to analyze and react to people in stressful, dangerous situations, and participate in the development of new/improved field procedures and best practices.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates strong Initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal success; motivation and ability to work flexible work schedule; basic training within the iron and metal industry and/or electrical field; hands-on experience with electro-technical and hydraulic machinery; excellent customer service skills; excellent communication skills; ability to organize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation; ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation.

Ability to learn basic electrical and/or mechanical skills; willing and able to learn new skills; able to work suspended from heights up to 250 feet; flexibility to travel from site to site, project to project; able to work within a project team; basic computer skills, data entry, outlook, etc; ability to think clearly and maintain composure during stressful, dangerous situations; demonstrated quality orientation.

Wind Quality Technician

The Wind Quality Technician will be to ensure the sub supplier is manufacturing tubular towers, according to valid specification and approved procedure from the project related quality plan. Meaning following all production steps, from inspection of raw material before production start, to final approval of the painted tower section. Clarify questions and advice suppliers regarding Siemens Wind Power specifications. This includes guidance for sub-suppliers specifications e.g. paint supplier Hempel. Establishment of non conformity reports and weekly meeting with the supplier, this is an ongoing process as corrective and preventive actions are needed, to ensure a continuous improvement of the quality management system.
